Ciara’s culinary adeptness has proven supremely impressive from a very young age. Her ability to conjure healing food for the masses is seemingly innate. She has fed and nourished some of the most brilliant artists, musicians & minds on the planet with her festival catering company, The Kaya Cafe. Ciara’s depth of food knowledge echoes out past the culinary arts degree she achieved at 19. Since then she has studied a wide variety of healing diets & regimens including Macrobiotic Cuisine, Ayurveda, Raw/Living Foods, Sprouted Foods, Superfoods, Alchemy, Adaptogens, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Gastronomy, Anti-Inflammatories, Paleo, Keto, Vegan/Vegetarian, Anti-Carcinogenic, Immune-Boosting, Alkalizing,  & Ancient Medicinal Herbs. Because of her vast expertise, Ciara executes the management of large-scale festival, event, and ceremony kitchens with graceful competence from build up to tear down. Her focus always, is to curate kitchens that become the hearth - a nourishing hub that fuels all souls who are blessed to attend.

    Ciara's culinary journey began at the age of 15 when she was helping the esteemed Evangeline Cajun Cafe get started in South Austin. At 16 she was a skilled Barista making macchiatos for the likes of infamous Austinites Leslie and Alex Jones, in addition to executing meals for the Kerrville Folk Festival. At 17 she was cooking at vegan sprouted & superfood cafe DaVine Foods in the Enchanted Forest, already churning out healthy meals for long lines of festival attendees at Texas’ most revered burn event - Art Outside. By 18 she became head chef for Sunday brunch at prestigious Macrobiotic establishment, Casa De Luz - cooking for 300 people per meal. At 19 she became head chef of Austin's first raw foods restaurant, The Daily Juice Cafe - which later exploded into massive chains like the well known Juiceland, and international company Rhythm Superfoods. For several years Ciara was GM of Austin's most renowned vegetarian hub Bouldin Creek Cafe, who has served the likes of Robert Plant and Radiohead.

    At 22 she was catering the largest Burn event in Texas, Art Outside, and continued catering it (in addition to others) for 8 consecutive years - at its height busting out over 1000 healthy meals a day to the staff, artists, volunteers and attendees. She has extensive experience catering on Playa at Burning Man. Initially for "The Frabjous" at Center Camp, and also for liberal philanthropist Jean Pierre Conte’s “Y Knot Saloon”. Since the days of Kaya’s infancy in her early twenties, this festival catering company has taken off. With her portable kitchen Ciara travels the world setting up luxury dining experiences onsite for film makers, event creators, philanthropists, architects, designers, and more. Anywhere an esteemed hearth of a kitchen needs to be built, her crew can execute it.

    Ciara’s festival catering experience includes Burning Man, Art Outside, Lightning in a Bottle, Kerrville Folk Festival, SoulPlay, Symbiosis, Texas Eclipse Festival, Electric Forest, Solarpunk Summit, The Rainbow Gathering, Flowstorm, Astronox, and more. She is also a revered and holistic personal chef who specifically cooked for people suffering from a variety of illnesses that desired to help their bodies heal with the power of ancient food medicine. She cooked for a multitude of people actively undergoing chemo treatments for cancer, and has several medical miracles under her belt. Her diverse skill set, competency, attitude, luscious flavor profiles, attunement, and in-depth experience make her one of the most qualified, capable & reputable kitchen mamas any event, film, or crew could aspire to have.

    Jon Patty is a wellspring of versatile culinary and event production expertise. His presence, skill, and ineffable culinary toolkit are instrumental when calmly executing all of the intricate logistics that go into creating, running, and tearing down catering projects of the highest caliber. His talents have developed in innumerable kitchens across a wide breadth of festivals and unique scenarios. He has witnessed a multitude of food business models and brings the best of his accumulated knowledge to the Kaya table.

    Jon brings patience and problem solving when things heat up - as he is a competent & compassionate kitchen team leader. He is driven to build community based food systems with the understanding that sharing a meal transcends many of our differences. He has launched 15 food brands across 7 metropolitan areas, but above all, Jon is motivated by the joy of feeding hungry people - great food.

    As Director of Operations for Kaya, Jon executes the oversight of countless immeasurable tasks with competence, dexterity, swiftness, and ease. He is truly the grease that keeps the wheels turnin’ - accompanying Chef Ciara as they proceed to accomplish the most niche catering adventures together.
